Responsibitlies:
Recruit parent participation to help identify potential speakers related to the theme and to promote speaker events. Currently, Parent Education is virtual but when we move to in-person speakers, parent volunteers will be important to help with coordination.
Parent Education Chairs solicit the potential speakers, coordinate calendars, negotiate their fees, and request press materials/photos to be used in marketing and presentation slides/videos.
Work with VSSA leadership and Administration’s Master Calendar to secure dates.
Encourage parent attendance by working with Communications team to develop marketing plan, including Weekly Mailer, Week-at-a-Glance, social media, Class/Grade Reps, Faculty/Staff, Alumni, and School Bulletins (as appropriate).
Produce virtual event, setup Zoom/Webinar/etc., share access information, monitor registrations, facilitate online experience and tech during event.
