Responsibilities of the committee:

This committee will give you the opportunity to meet other parents and help organize the Welcome Events before and at the start of the school year.  You will also have the option to represent the VSSA at various key event and share what we do and what our upcoming events are.  

Welcome Events for PS/LS  & MS/US New Families

• Determine location for the event
• Invite New Students
• Organize Food
• Adult Snacks Available

Community Life Breakfast:

• Location at Calabasas Country Club
• Arrange for food
• Arrange for decorations (e.g., balloons, flowers)
• Manage Check-In
• Pass out give-aways (e.g., coffee mug)
• Answer questions about Committees
• Name Tags (create)
• Committee signs & volunteer sign up sheets (use QR codes to access online sign up sheets)
• Committee Booth Decorating Contest

Employee Appreciation Breakfasts (EAB's):

• Oversee the EAB's for PS/LS/MS/US (Nov, Jan, Mar)
• Division Representatives and Grade Representatives to help
• A SUG will be provided to you for every EAB

Faculty Appreciation Lunch (May)

• Coordinate with Vice-Presidents
• Coordinate with support-services team on set-up
• Send out SUG for collection of treats
• Obtain raffle prizes and wrap prizes
• Work with Vice-Presidents on a theme, decor & caterer

Attend Monthly VSSA Meetings & all major VSSA Events
